I am raising concerns here because UNSC resolution 277 has passed however at the same time the Government in Pakistan has declared a no fly zone over East Pakistan. Im assuming we need to see if the East Pakistani government supports letting these officials in. What do you guys think?

Of course. I think the UN would be wise to request official permissions from the Pakistani government, else the delegation could be shot down.

I'm the one that declared a no-fly zone for other aircraft. I am however tempted to have the plane shot down! :D

So a plane with a bunch UN aide workers is going to be shot down since the UN members did not ask the Pakistani government? If so, thats a very crazy event.

Why don't we just have Legal, as the UN Secretary General, request access on behalf of the Security Council to enforce the resolution? If Pakistan says no, then they don't go. It seems a bit excessive to down a UN flight and put the Pakistani player in a Pakistan against the world position over a bureaucratic thing. Players shouldn't have to take care of the job of UN bureaucrats. That's kind of our job. :)

I would be willing to do so via PM, I can do that.

There goes my fun..

In all seriousness however, I'll be writing a couple articles right now to update the situation in Pakistan so everyone is aware. It will be about the UN flight to Pakistan and UN aide as well as the Pakistani governments aide to the people (which is overdue by now but it must be posted.).
