NATO

NATO

The American President is looking to expand NATO to make it more of a global organization, and until recently has talked about rebuilding the missile shield in Poland and selling weapons to Romania.

These policies, all of them, are frankly unacceptable. We have communicated this to the Americans and, through some manoeuvring in Poland, have gotten the Poles to agree not to install the shield in exchange for a Non-Aggression Pact. I believe that with this treaty we will be able to establish a new way of pressuring them to stay out of major problems in the East as well as keep the missiles out.

We have also spoken to friendly states in NATO and they have told us a great deal of what is going on in NATO's halls. Apparently the Romanians are at it again, looking for a significant amount of missiles and the like to be stationed there. The American President seems to be stuck in the past, or an idiot... It is likely he will jump at this opportunity.

But membership expansion, thanks to our friendly nations, is off the table, thankfully. Thus, we do not need to worry about expanding the Pact of Liberty nor do we need to develop contingencies to take out the Kyrgyz government or others prior to a NATO offer.
